Cards

Well, I didn't get the layouts done at the crop like I planned.
Instead I worked on the kiddos' Valentines for their classes. I'm almost done with those, and pics will be coming soon!

In the meantime, here are a couple cards I've been meaning to post!

Thank-you cards from Audrey's birthday party

And, birthday cards! I love this Cupcakes sprinkle stamp set... I've used it sooo much! :)

Moving woes

Okay, so I go out to the garage to start going through some of my scrapbooking stuff so I can take some pics of what I've been working on the couple months before we moved and post them for you all to see. And, I find the whole "tower" of scrapbooking boxes toppled over onto the garage floor. And I start bawling... Uncontrollably.

My husband tries to assure me he will pick them up and that the stuff is fine. But I can't stop sobbing... that my stuff is ruined, that he shouldn't have put all my stuff in one stack while all his was in "safe" small stacks, that there is no room for my scrap stuff in this house. And then I go off on some unintelligible rant about him picking the house and me hating it and blah blah blah. This went on for about twenty minutes, with him trying to console and assure me everything was fine.

Wow. I think I was upset about a little more than just the scrap stuff. I usually have myself together a little more than that! I'm going to chalk it up to the stress of moving half-way across the county, and to the stress of change in general. I guess the good part is he is now building me shelves and a scrap area on one end of the utility room. That wasn't my intent, but a good consequence I suppose.

It's been too long...

Exciting news!
We've made the move to Midland, TX for my husband's job...

This is good because I'll have more time to scrap, as well as more time to post (yay!).
But, I still need to figure out where I'll be spending all this time, as I've lost my craft room (boo!).

I guess I'll just start taking over the dining room table like the good ol' days! :)

I look forward to posting soon, and to catching up with all your blogs!

New Layouts

Last weekend I got to go to a scrapbooking retreat with some friends.
We had so much fun!! The condo was on the lake in Chelan and the view was gorgeous! We had some great girl time- hanging out, drinking margaritas, and even getting some scrapbooking done!

Here are some pics of what I've got done:

Valentine's Day

This is my husband's Valentine's Day present. I made the card and stamped the wrapping paper to match (it's a DVD he wants). The small box in front slides open and has 3 coordinating Hershey's nuggets inside (see below). I am pleased with how these turned out!

Hopefully he doesn't see this before Valentine's Day. But he doesn't even know I have a blog, so I'm think I'm safe! :)

February Card Workshop

Here are the cards from my workshop last week.
The first two use the "Dahlia Fold" to create the paper flower. I love the look of these flowers and they can be made with any paper! The first one uses CTMH's "Silhouette" paper & the second is the new (Spring 2009) "Emporium" paper:

This one also uses new products... The CTMH "Daydream" paper and the "Happy Endings" stamp set. So cute!

New "Stardust" paper and "Shining Star" stamp set:

And the new "Cupcake Sprinkles" stamp set- another one of my favorites this spring:

And an Easter card using the February CTMH Stamp of the month "Easter Eggs" and a strip of "Life Delights" striped paper:

The card camps were really fun. I got to show off some of the new products that came out this Spring and have some fun with my friends! :)

Card Workshop

I became a Close To My Heart consultant this past fall, and I held my first card workshop in November. Here's a sample of some of the cards we did.

The winter cards were made using CTMH's "Aspen" paper and the "All Decked Out" stamp set. The owl cards used "Caprice" paper and "Whooo Loves You" stamp set. The last two both used "Magic Moments" paper (special thanks to Juliana who let me use her Cricut to cut all those ovals for the flower!). :)

Calendars

These are photo calendar pages I made for each of the grandparents & living great-grandparents. I've made these for the past few years, and I have to say this year they turned out the best so far!

Some of the pictures didn't turn out well (flash reflection off glossy photos), but here are the ones that did....
